Japanese ground segment as a service company Infostellar is deploying a company-owned network of satellite ground antennas throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Infostellar announced on June 10. Locations include Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
Infostellar expects the stations to be available in the second half of 2025. The company said these locations will support customers with satellite missions including maritime awareness, Earth observation, and surveillance, and improve access to satellite data in the strategic APAC region.
CEO Naomi Kurahara commented: “We are very excited to offer this new capacity to our global imagery and surveillance community. The selection of these locations, and especially our focus on the APAC region, serves our client’s needs in a very unique and innovative way.”
The company also offers a cloud-based platform StellarStation that manages access to partner ground stations around the world including Viasat RTE and Amazon Web Servies ground stations.
