ReQuTech has chosen Scanfil as its manufacturing partner for its RESA satellite terminals. The companies announced this week they are ramping up production of the RESA Ku- and Ka-band terminals during the fourth quarter of this year and early 2024.

RESA, which stands for the ReQuTech Electronically Scanned Antenna, is a satcom terminal for multi-orbit applications, for both on-the-move and on-the-pause. ReQuTech is a satcom product developer and manufacturer based in Sweden, and Scanfil is a manufacturing and system supply company headquartered in Finland, with global operations.

The companies signed a framework agreement in 2022 for assembly and are now working together on long-term production. They plan to reach production of a few hundred terminals per month by the first quarter of 2025.

“The strategic production partnership and securing long-term volume production is of utmost importance for ReQuTech partners at this moment. We value our cooperation with Scanfil and our engineering and production cooperations with our different teams working together over the past years have been a great success,” commented ReQuTech CEO Omid Sotoudeh.
