Singapore-based startup Zero-Error Systems (ZES) has closed an oversubscribed $7.5M Series A funding round, with participation from Airbus Ventures. The company specializes in semiconductor solutions for space and power management applications. The funding round announced Monday also included participation from the Dart Family Office.
ZES was founded in 2019 as a university spin-off from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, semiconductor industry veterans and integrated circuit design experts to design radiation-hardened semiconductor solutions. The company says that semiconductor innovations are just as important as software innovation to support high processing power required, and reliability in extreme environments for Low Earth Orbit satellites, and deep space rovers and landers.
CTO and co-founder Dr. Shu Wei said the company’s capabilities “address essential power reliability and data integrity concerns by safeguarding COTS semiconductor devices from malfunctions with our patented radiation hardening technologies.”
The company plans to use the funding to recruit additional electronics engineers specializing in space and various power management applications. It also plans to accelerate its product roadmap, support R&D activities in Singapore, and customer design-in activities globally.
