Intellian Technologies is developing a new portfolio of phased array flat panel antennas. The electronically steered antennas (ESA) are designed for Ku- and Ka-band Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium-Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite networks.

On March 21, Intellian announced development of three antennas —  a high data rate fixed enterprise solution, a portable rugged manpack terminal, and a low-profile communications on the move (COTM) solution. The company also plans to offer future terminals for maritime and aviation. The antenna lineup is on track for availability in 2023.

CEO Eric Sung said this announcement comes after years of development and investment into technology and R&D facilities.

“Intellian phased array engineers are among the most exceptionally talented and innovative in the industry and what we’ve been working on is an exciting game-changer,” Sung said. “These user terminals are a continuation of our mission of empowering connectivity, allowing end users in remote and difficult environments to access a cost-effective and enhanced user experience that would otherwise be unavailable to them.”

Separately, Intellian also announced two new user terminals for SES O3b mPOWER customers, the mP130 for fixed enterprise users, and the X130D PM for government vessels.
