SpacePath Communications and Datum Systems, which manufactures satellite modems, have jointly announced a strategic sales and support partnership. SpacePath will provide distribution and technical support for Datum’s modems, which are often acquired together with Radio Frequency (RF) amplifiers, and will be able to configure and upgrade them.

According to Datum, its satellite modems, including FlexLDPC and high speed Digital Video Broadcasting Standard-Second Generation Extension (DVB-S2X) models, are suited for government and commercial applications including IP data, Voice over IP (VoIP), cellular backhaul, banking, distance learning, disaster recovery and business-to-business enterprise.
