[Via Satellite 04-19-2016] NSSLGlobal, a satellite communications services provider, has acquired the majority shareholding in Marine Electronics Solutions (UK Electronics Solutions), a specialist in installation, maintenance, supply and development of communications and navigation products and solutions for the maritime, government, offshore renewables, and oil and gas sectors.

“For NSSLGlobal this is a logical next step in our long-lasting and well-proven partnership with UK Electronics Solutions. Besides increasing our service engineering capability with an additional team of highly skilled and customer-focused system and service engineers, NSSLGlobal will also further strengthen it service and support reach in the U.K., and the North Sea Region, which is strategically important for our activities in the U.K., Germany and Denmark,” said Sally-Anne Ray, group CEO of NSSLGlobal. “In addition, UK Electronics Solutions have a number of interesting developments and value-adds that we see becoming an integral part of our future maritime and offshore offering.”

As part of the deal, Paul Rutherford, managing director of UK Electronics Solutions, will join the NSSLGlobal management team and, besides continuing to lead UK Electronics Solutions, he will take an active role with NSSLGlobal’s U.K.-based service engineering teams.
