[Via Satellite 05-28-2015] Hughes Networks Systems has released a new high-throughput router for the company’s Jupiter system, designed to operate over C and Ku band, as well as Ka-band satellite capacity. The HT1300 enables use of the Jupiter system with conventional satellite capacity while creating a path for seamless migration to future High-Throughput Satellites (HTS). Capable of 100 Mbps throughput, the router uses an industry standard L-band interface to operate with outdoor units, including high-power amplifiers.

The Jupiter system’s traffic classifier can dynamically classify delay-sensitive, real-time applications, such as voice or video, in order to deliver the necessary performance demanded by enterprise users. The HT1300 is fully managed from a central location, such as a corporate IT help desk, and ensures security through hardware-based, bidirectional encryption.
