[Via Satellite 09-24-2014] Three Comtech Telecommunications subsidiaries have received new or follow on contracts for different satellite products. Comtech Xicom Technology, Comtech PST and Comtech Mobile Datacom brought in a combined $15.3 million with these new deals.

Comtech Xicom Technology received a $2.5 million order from a military integrator for high power Gallium-Nitride (GaN) based Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs). The amplifiers will upgrade existing transportable satellite communications systems for deployed military forces.

Additionally, two international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have submitted multiple orders to Comtech PST for broadband high-power RF microwave amplifier systems collectively worth $6.7 million. And lastly, Comtech’s Maryland-based subsidiary Comtech Mobile Datacom, received a $6.1 million in follow-on funding for a previously announced three-year sustainment contract in support of the U.S. Army‘s Force 21 Battle Command Brigade and Below – Blue Force Tracking (“BFT-1”) program. Combined with the $5 million originally received, Comtech said the BFT-1 sustainment contract and BFT-1 intellectual property license contract are now fully funded at $23.6 million.
