[Via Satellite 06-03-2014] Advantech Wireless’ sales for the year ending on April 30, 2014 increased by 22 percent compared to the previous year’s earnings. This marks the fourth consecutive year of profitability for the manufacturer of satellite, Radio Frequency (RF) equipment and microwave systems.

Contributing to the year’s successes was the Very-Small-Aperture-Terminal (VSAT) product line for use with High Throughput Satellites (HTS), and the patent-pending Next Generation Discovery Adaptive Satellite Access Technology (A-SAT) platform. Additionally, the company’s release of the SapphireBlu series of UltraLinear Gallium nitride (GaN) High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), which is able to saturate all transponders of a satellite with a single 43-foot antenna and a single amplifier system per polarization, also helped Advantech’s profitability.
