[Via Satellite 05-29-2014] Macom has added three discrete mixers to its product portfolio for use in applications for test and measurement, electronic warfare, point-to-point wireless and more. The mixers will be available in surface mount, industry standard plastic Thin Dual Flat No Lead (TDFN) packaging.

The MAMX-011021 high IP3 mixer sustains high linearity for applications in high bit rate transmitters and receivers. The frequency range covered by the mixer is from 5 to 33 Ghz Radio Frequency (RF) and DC-5 GHz Intermediate Frequency (IF). It integrates a single-ended cold Field-Effect Transistor (FET) structure and diplexer for around 9 dB of conversion loss.

The MAMX-011022 image reject mixer will be targeted at medium data rate, long-haul, low noise systems. The mixer is optimized for upconversion and downconversion, and provides image rejection of 18 dB, covering the 5 to 28 GHz RF and DC-5 GHz IF frequency ranges. Conversion loss is around 12 dB for the instrument.

The MAMX-011023 will be used for down frequency conversion and supports very low noise, around 7 dB. This low noise active mixer covers the RF range from 4 to 23 GHz and DC-8 GHz IF. It has a low power consumption rate and supports conversion gain of around 7 dB.
