The fiber-based network, based on Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology, is designed to transport any video or data signal from practically any city in the world to one of 19 SES-owned teleports or partner teleports via SES points of presence for transmission to SES satellites. At the teleports, customers will have access to SES Global Access Services, which include video and data uplink and downlink services, full DVB transport stream uplinks, Virtual Network Operator (VNO) platform service, Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) data service, and Single Channel Per Carrier (SCPC) data service, among others.
Benefits of SES Global Access Services include access to SES’ free-to-air and encrypted video platforms and various data platforms. Additionally, SES will offer customers competitive, scalable and flexible solutions to ramp up connectivity for customers, depending on their business needs.
