Neo Space Group (NSG) has appointed former Inmarsat and Viasat exec Mark Dickinson as its new CTO. Dickinson is set to play a key role in driving NSG’s technological innovations. Dickinson’s portfolio includes managing a fleet of 15 Geostationary satellites, overseeing approximately $1 billion in spacecraft and launch procurement. NSG, a wholly owned company of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, announced the appointment on Jan. 13.

During his tenure at Inmarsat, Dickinson directed the design, procurement, and deployment of space assets. He previously was involved with Inmarsat’s work with Aramco on precision navigation spacecraft and 4G network augmentation, and is the former chairman of the Space Data Association (SDA), where he led space safety and sustainability initiatives.

“I am honored to join Neo Space Group and contribute to its transformative vision for the global space industry. NSG’s commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships aligns perfectly with my passion for driving progress. Together, we will unlock new growth opportunities and cement Saudi Arabia’s leadership in space technology and services,” Dickinson said in a statement.
