Eutelsat Group announced a new leadership team for its U.S. subsidiary, Eutelsat Americas and OneWeb Technologies (EACOWT), which operates as a combined company after a merger earlier this year. EACOWT offers Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary (GEO) satcom solutions for both U.S. government and commercial customers.

Kevin Steen, who has been with OneWeb Technologies since 2022, continues to lead the combined company as CEO after his appointment in May of this year

Steve Perreault, who joined OneWeb Technologies in 2022, will serve as CFO. Perreault previously led mergers and acquisition strategy for Thomson Reuters.

Ian Canning will serve as COO. Canning has been with OneWeb Technologies’ predecessor TrustComm since 2012, and he previously held senior management positions for Stratos Global Corp. and Iridium Communications, Inmarsat, Nortel Networks, and Motorola Codex.

Ed Slater will serve as chief commercial officer (CCO). He leads the development and implementation of the sales distribution and marketing strategy. Before joining OneWeb Technologies, Slater served as the director of Government Aviation at OneWeb.

In addition, EACOWT announced that Joe Uglialoro will serve as general counsel; Lesley Rahman will serve as chief information officer; and Rodrigo Gomez as chief architect.

“With this team, we are well-positioned to deliver innovative multi-orbit satellite communications capabilities to the U.S. government and system integrators, along with select enterprise and broadcast customers, while continuing to provide resilient fixed and mobile SATCOM solutions to support the mission requirements of our customers,” Steen commented.
