The appeal of connectivity — for every industry — is having data at your fingertips. Over the past few years, the aerospace industry has new developed methods for bringing on-demand information availability to both passengers and operations for commercial and business flights. From maintenance to pricing to In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and beyond, the satellite and aviation industries have converged for global connectivity. But there are still best practices, market lessons, technological improvements and business models that need cultivating to reach maximum efficiency and capability. That’s where the Avionics and Via Satellite Global Connected Aircraft Summit comes into play.
From June 7 to 9, professionals representing a wide range of companies and interests are invited to participate in the summit, which will take place in Arlington, Virginia, at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View. The editorial staffs of both Avionics and Via Satellite have worked with industry experts to organize three days of comprehensive information sharing. Topics including airline business models, cockpit upgrades, satellite bandwidth, alternative industry perspectives and more are on the agenda.
Speakers from Netflix, Facebook, Honeywell Aerospace, Gulfstream, ViaSat, Gogo, Air France and other companies plan to share their experiences and ideas during keynotes, presentations and panels. Breakout sessions give attendees the chance to customize their learning experiences, be it satellite, aviation, operations or security. The agenda also includes networking breaks and receptions, encouraging further collaboration and relationship building outside of sessions.
