[Satellite TODAY 09-14-11] TAM Airlines has selected Panasonic Avionics’ eX3 IFEC solution for linefit installation on 27 A350-900 aircraft. In addition, TAM Airlines has also chosen Panasonic’s eX2 IFEC solution for 8 new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the companies announced Sept. 13.

    Panasonic’s eX3 represents the company’s tenth-generation IFEC solution. The unit is designed to deliver native broadband connectivity through an open platform architecture. TAM said it would use eX3 to leverage a business platform that helps drive brand loyalty, maximize revenue per available seat mile, and minimize cost per available seat mile.

Panasonic’s platform allows us to offer the best in-flight entertainment and communications services, in line with our business goals,” TAM Airlines Spokesman Jose Racowski said in a statement.
