[Satellite Today 05-04-09] Air Austral, a commercial airline based in France, has installed Panasonic’s satellite-provided eX2 in-flight entertainment system on two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, Panasonic announced May 1.
The eX2 system aims to provide Air Austral passengers with access to applications such as audio and video on demand, dynamic moving maps, games and a variety of applications that generate ancillary revenue.
“[The system] will be a strategic tool to address the very competitive market between Paris and La Reunion. It will also be a major asset to our worldwide development, especially to Sydney, Australia," Gérard Etheve, CEO of Air Austral, said in a statement.
