Delta Air Lines‘ [NYSE: DAL] new low-fair airline Song plans in October to begin offering satellite TV service to passengers. Song is partnering with Matsushita Avionics Systems and EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH] to provide personal video monitors at every seat, with digital satellite broadcast, MP3 and pay-per-view programming available on demand. Multi-player interactive games and an interactive moving map program with zoom capabilities also will be available.

Song, which launched service with a flight from New York to West Palm Beach, Fla., on April 15, plans to introduce 144 daily flights by this fall. It plans to operate a fleet of 199-seat, all-coach Boeing [NYSE: BA] 757 aircraft, introducing them at a rate of one per week over nine months.
