Finnish satellite manufacturing startup ReOrbit announced an MoU on Tuesday with Ananth Technologies, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in India.
The MoU outlined potential collaborations, including Ananth Technologies incorporating ReOrbit’s software-enabled Geostationary Orbit (GEO) communications satellite, as well as ReOrbit partnering with Ananth Technologies for its manufacturing and integration facilities.
Ananth Chairman Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri said this agreement can advance the company’s satellite capabilities. Ananth has labs, cleanrooms, and manufacturing facilities and its clients include the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
ReOrbit’s approach to building satellites is based on the company’s software stack. ReOrbit does not manufacture hardware, but procures hardware depending on a customer’s requirements, cost, time, specification.
“The MoU with Ananth Technologies represents an important step, highlighting ReOrbit’s commitment to providing robust, resilient satellite communications. Together, we are united in our commitment to foster innovation and enhance the standards of excellence and security in the Indian New Space industry,” said Sethu Saveda Suvanam, CEO and founder of ReOrbit.
