Thales Alenia Space placed a follow-on order with Redwire Corporation for additional Roll-Out Solar Array (ROSA) wings for the manufacturer’s Space Inspire line of satellites.

The follow-on order increases the total number of shipsets that Redwire will deliver based on its existing agreement with Thales Alenia Space, announced in June. Redwire announced the deal on Tuesday, but did not share how many units will be delivered.

Space Inspire is a new line of software-defined Geostationary Orbit (GEO) telecommunications satellites from Thales. The satellite is fully reprogrammable on orbit to allow operators to adjust capacity allocations. Thales secured a Space Inspire order earlier this year from Sky Perfect JSAT.

“Redwire is excited to further support Thales Alenia Space Inspire satellites, which are helping to connect the world via their ultra-flexible and robust capabilities. As a key supplier, we are focused on flawless execution and on-time delivery to ensure customer success,” said Mike Gold, Redwire’s chief growth officer.

Redwire’s ROSA wings are on the International Space Station and will also support Blue Origin’s space mobility platform Blue Ring
