Satellogic has expanded its work with HEO through a new three-year agreement for non-Earth imaging worth at minimum, seven figures each year.

Satellogic will use its imaging satellites to capture imagery of other objects in orbit for HEO’s non-Earth imaging service, which is used for space domain awareness (SDA).

While HEO works with a number of satellite imagery companies, Satellogic is its longest-standing EO partner and Satellogic gives the company access to more satellites than any of its other partners. The companies have been working together since 2020 and captured more than 1,600 images in the last year. The agreement announced Oct. 29 covers Satellogic’s NewSat Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI satellites, including its newest inter-satellite link -equipped spacecraft.

“HEO came to us in 2020 with a question few people in our industry had asked yet: what can an Earth Observation satellite see if you point it at what’s in orbit?” commented Satellogic CEO and co-founder Emiliano Kargieman. “Our first project was a picture of the International Space Station. Six years and well over a thousand captures per year later, HEO has taken the capability and become a leader in NEI and space domain awareness.”
