U.K.-based Satellite Vu will provide climate change data from its thermal monitoring satellites to the United Kingdom real estate market through a partnership with Landmark Information Group

Satellite Vu and Landmark have agreed to jointly develop geospatial information products for the U.K. real estate market, relating to the thermal efficiency of buildings monitored by Satellite Vu’s satellites. Landmark is a data provider that serves the U.K. real estate sector. The companies announced the agreement on June 7. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This data will be distributed across Landmark’s customer network to test, validate, and market the geospatial information products. Satellite Vu CEO Anthony Baker said this partnership will allow investors, property developers and building owners assess their buildings’ energy efficiency and take steps to improve it.

“Satellite Vu’s technology combined with our expertise in property data and risk modeling will mean we can provide the industry with a more informed view of future risks for the U.K. property portfolio. These more accurate datasets will guide businesses through their property investment decisions, mitigate risks and ultimately support our environmental ambitions,” Landmark CEO Simon Brown said.

Satellite Vu recently closed the second round of its Series A funding with an investment from Lockheed Martin. The company also recently signed on for a SpaceX rideshare launch set for early 2023.
