VSAT manufacturer SpaceBridge signed new deals for its satellite equipment with NexTenna and SkyNet de Colombia, the company announced this month.

Antenna company NexTenna is partnering with SpaceBridge to develop a new line of wireless communication systems targeting IoT, mobility IoT, broadband, and fixed broadband solutions for consumer, enterprise, and military services. NexTenna plans to integrate SpaceBridge’s U7720 modem into its antennas, including the NexTenna LEO IOT, NexTenna V for vehicles, and NexTenna LEO Home for fixed consumer and enterprise.

“SpaceBridge partnering with NexTenna will create a new paradigm in how we address IoT, mobility, and broadband markets. Installation of these terminals, in conjunction with our iPoint auto-provisioning tool, commissioning of these terminals will significantly reduce rollout costs, eliminating one of the main impediments to rapid deployment,” commented SpaceBridge CEO David Gelerman.

In addition, service provider SkyNet de Colombia selected SpaceBridge as a satellite equipment provider to modernize its ground equipment infrastructure in Colombia. SkyNet de Colombia said SpaceBridge’s VSAT satellite platform ASAT II will be used to provide corporate branch connectivity, mobile backhaul, and mission critical services. The platform based at its Bogota Teleport will be operational before June 2023, with high throughput C- and Ku-band satellites.
