Maxar Intelligence was awarded a $14.4M framework contract by the Netherlands Ministry of Defence (MoD) for a four-year Maxar Geospatial Platform (MGP) Pro subscription, Maxar announced Jan. 9.

This agreement will provide the MoD’s Defence Geographic Agency (DGA) and its users with access to Maxar’s geospatial products and solutions, including its mapping, intelligence, and operational support missions.

MGP Pro, formerly SecureWatch, provides on-demand access to satellite imagery and analytics, the ability to task satellites, access to 3D data and apply AI and machine learning capabilities for object detection, change monitoring and more. This includes Maxar’s archive of imagery and WorldView Legion imagery.

Anders Linder, general manager, International Government at Maxar commented: “Governments trust the capabilities and security of Maxar’s platform to enhance their foundational geospatial data layers and provide timely, mission-critical insights that support requirements across all domains.”
