Envistacom, LLC, has been awarded a task order to deliver Satcom On The Quick Halt (SOTQH) communication systems for MRZR vehicles to specialized U.S. Army units. The systems combine terminal technology from Lite Coms and will be integrated at Envistacom’s Innovation Center, in Duluth, Georgia, the companies announced May 12. A financial component to the task order was not disclosed.

Envistacom provided prototype test terminals for the MRZR vehicle, now plans to integrate, test, and deliver operational systems for deployment with active units. The concept and implementation of the SOTQH system was facilitated by the joint active military-veteran collaboration based upon collective experience acquired on active duty. In addition, the Envistacom and Lite Coms collaboration team is also engineering an overall solution that incorporates Communications On The Move (COTM) and SOTQH capabilities, while maintaining the tactical functionality of the MRZR platform and within the transportation footprint of the CV-22.

“Shortening the timeline from prototyping to first unit, while minimizing operational and delivery risk is what sets us apart,” said Alan Carson, Envistacom’s President. “Our engineering and business development team is largely staffed by veterans who know how to use their operational experience to add value to every solution we deliver.”
