[Via Satellite 07-29-2014] SES Government
Solutions (SES GS) reports that as of July 8, 2014, the company has received approval from the General Services Administration (GSA) to
offer O3b Networks services on the agency’s schedule. The approval makes SES GS the first distribution partner offering services from O3b’s Medium Earth Orbiting (MEO) constellation to U.S.
government customers.

SES GS said O3b products
and capacity will be available through the U.S. government’s most frequently used satcom acquisition vehicle, the Future Comsatcom Services Acquisition
(FCSA), which is a joint initiative between the GSA and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The approval comes on the heels of O3b’s second launch of four satellites, bringing the constellation up to eight and enabling O3b to offer global coverage. O3b’s next launch of four more identical satellites is slated for early 2015.
