[Via Satellite 06-11-2014] Freesat, the subscription free satellite television service, added Service Sound and Vision Corporation’s (SSVC) Forces TV to its channel line-up. Forces TV is the only channel in the U.K. dedicated to the armed forces and the defense sector, and covers reports, features, live news events, human-interest pieces, documentaries and other forms of content.

“The new channel will bring the U.K. viewer a 24-hour-a-day picture of everything the forces are doing with great access behind the scenes, allowing the public to see an unprecedented picture of the military world,” said Nick Pollard, CEO at SSVC.

Forces TV will be added to Freesat’s offering of more than 200 channels that can be viewed with no subscription fee, and is scheduled to air on channel 652.
