[Via Satellite 06-02-2014] Globecomm was awarded a delivery order from the United States Army’s Program Executive Office for the Command Control and Communications – Tactical (PEO C3T) under the Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (GTACS) Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle. The company was previously awarded a GTACS contract in November of 2012 for the unrestricted suite of contracts. The IDIQ contract vehicle has a five year term and a ceiling value of $10 billion.
The PEO C3T develops, attains and fields a range of products such as software applications, generators, radios, computers, servers and communications systems to all Army units. The office then integrates the systems to function together and at the same time provides training and support for system deployments.
The Globecomm order is for the delivery of 65 new satellite modems and 550 satellite modem upgrade kits for satellite communications terminals for the Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (WIN-T). This could include upgrades for several organizations including, but not limited to, the Army, Marines, Central Command (CENTCOM) and Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT).
