[Via Satellite 09-13-13] Exelis has revealed a system to allow continued communications in a heavily jammed battlefield environment. The small, lightweight Integrated Protection and Transmission System (iProTxS) can be integrated with existing radios and electronic countermeasure (ECM) equipment on both mounted and dismounted platforms.

The use of jamming on the battlefield by coalition forces has become increasingly common and complex, making effective communications difficult. Jammers are typically located close to tactical radios, both physically and in the radio frequency domain, placing significant constraints on communications and battlefield effectiveness. A single iProTxS system can be paired with as many radio systems as needed within an ECM system area of operation, providing an easy and affordable solution.
