SatCam provides users with the most recent satellite pass of their location.

SatCam hopes to take user-submitted data to improve weather research and forecasting, while giving users an added bonus.
 
Users are prompted to anonymously send images of the sky and horizon in their respective locations. These images, along with the user’s GPS coordinates, allows the UW Space Science and Engineering Center in Madison to send a picture of the most recent satellite pass of the user’s location. While the resolution will not allow users to see themselves, it is high enough to recognize local geography.
 
SatCam developers plan to improve satellite imaging accuracy and work on an app for the Android marketplace, as it is currently only available for iOS devices.
