[Satellite TODAY 03-12-13] Global imagery provider DigitalGlobe has awarded Richmond-based communications and information company MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) a contract from to produce and provide a ground station solution, MDA announced March 12. 

   DigitalGlobe will use the ground station to enable access to information from its WorldView satellites for an unnamed international customer. The contract is the seventh international ground station order to-date that MDA has received from DigitalGlobe.

   “MDA will provide a solution capable of receiving and processing imagery and data from the WorldView satellites,” MDA said in a company statement. “As prime contractor, MDA is responsible for developing, integrating and installing the WorldView information solution at the customer’s site.”
