The unit operates at a fixed-frequency of 7800 MHz and features low power consumption and an exceptionally low phase noise. The company said the LX-7800 would be made available in low-cost, high-volume tape-and-reel designs for satcom, commercial wireless and military COTS applications.

   “The LX-7800 provides more than 8 dBm of output power. Custom units are available in fixed and programmable frequencies from 5 MHz to 8 GHz in a standard surface-mount package of 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.15,” the company said in a statement.
