[Satellite TODAY 01-19-12] Kratos Defense & Security Solutions subsidiary Integral Systems was awarded a contract modification with the U.S. Air Force Space Command and Missile Systems Center to complete development and fielding of the Rapid Attack, Identification, Detection and Reporting System (RAIDRS) Block 10 (RB-10) program.
Kratos announced Jan. 18 that the modification resulted in an additional contract value of $9.9 million on the RAIDRS contract.
The RAIDRS program is designed to detect, characterize, report and geolocate potential attacks against U.S.-protected communication satellites. When complete, RAIDRS will work to provide worldwide, real-time event detection and characterization of electromagnetic interference from multiple transportable end nodes to a single control location.
“We are extremely proud that we will continue to serve the Air Force by protecting critical satellite communications links,” Kratos Senior Vice President Bob Wright said in a statement.
