[Satellite TODAY 03-09-11] CapRock Government Solutions was selected as one of 46 prime vendors under the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Information Technology Supplies and Support Services order contract vehicle, CapRock announced March 8.
The eight-year contract includes a base year and seven option years with a total ceiling value of $30 billion. The contract vehicle covers a range of information technology equipment and services required by the FBI and follows CapRock’s addition to the GSA Federal Supply Schedule 70 vehicle in February.
The contract vehicle includes the special item numbers for commercial satellite communications services that were added to the agency’s contract as part of the Future Commercial Satellite Acquisition (FCSA) vehicle that GSA is managing in partnership with the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency. The item numbers allow customers to purchase pre-packaged and pre-engineered fixed or mobile satellite service solutions and any related equipment and terrestrial components.
"CapRock was chosen based on our ability to develop best value, innovative solutions for the FBI that provide the technical services they need to accomplish critical mission objectives," CapRock Government Solutions President David Myers said in a statement.
