[Satellite TODAY 01-21-11] The U.S. Army has expanded Arinc Engineering Services’ primary role in developing an advanced global tracking capability for military assets under the Army’s Next Generation Wireless Communications (NGWC) program, Arinc announced Jan. 20.
    Arinc and development partner Cubic Global Tracking Solutions will enhance the capabilities of the Army’s secure, wireless, mesh network solution and conduct a formal demonstration at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait in early 2011.
    The NGWC program aims to provide secure, continuous visibility of U.S. military assets in use, transit or storage anywhere in the world. Its mesh network capability is based on GPS-equipped asset tags and technology from Cubic Global.
