[Satellite TODAY 01-03-11] Arinc Engineering Services has retained its role as Technical Support provider to U.S. Strategic Command for the joint planning and management of Satellite Communications resources of the U.S. Department of Defense, Arinc announced Jan. 3
    Arinc will continue support and development work on the Joint Satellite Communications Management and Planning System (JSMPS) and the related Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST) under its follow-on contract with the U.S. Air Force. The follow-on award is for a one-year base term with four one-year options, and one additional option period.
    JSMPS is the hub of a net-centric suite of U.S. military databases and applications, which aim to provide global mission management of satcom resources.
