[Satellite TODAY 10-25-10] CapRock Government Solutions has partnered with remote terminal solutions provider Tampa Microwave to deliver complete end-to-end military-grade satellite communications solutions, CapRock announced Oct. 22.
    CapRock intends to leverage the technology developed by the partnership to provide government and military users deployed in remote areas of operation with a lightweight, portable man-pack satcom solution that connects to CapRock’s CommandAccess network. 
    The partnership agreement follows CapRock’s CommandAccess coverage expansion in March, which enabled the company to offer enhanced pre-packaged satellite subscription services and finalize its commercial X-band network for secure voice, video and data communications. CapRock will integrate the service with Tampa Microwave’s TM-X850MP man-pack terminal for field-deployed government agencies. 
    The integrated terminal is expected to complete certification testing by the first quarter of 2011.
