[Satellite Today 09-27-10] Globecomm Systems has been awarded a $4 million one-year contract from an unnamed U.S. government agency to provide Ku-band space segment bandwidth and bandwidth management services, the company announced Sept. 24.
Globecomm also will provide the customer with implementation, preventative and corrective maintenance and a range technical support services. The agreement includes four one-year options. If exercised, the options would bring the total contract value up to $20 million over five years.
“Globecomm is proud to support the needs of the U.S. government. This contract demonstrates our sustained ability to provide high availability, mission-critical communications connectivity,” Globecomm’s Vice President and General Manager of Services Andy Silberstein said in a statement.
