[Satellite TODAY 09-17-10] Spacenet subsidiary Spacenet Integrated Government Solutions (SIGS) now manages Raysat Antenna Systems operations as a result of its acquisition by Spacenet’s parent company Gilat Satellite Systems in March, Raysat announced.
    Spacenet’s parent company and its U.S. operations have been integrated into SIGS. The integration of Raysat aims to enable it to expand its communications offerings and increase business opportunities in the government market.
    “The integration of the [Raysat’s] family of comms-on-the-move antennas with the satellite networking expertise of SIGS will deliver a new level of high speed, highly mobile communications for the military, emergency response organizations, and other markets with a need for fast, flexible, on the move communications,” SIGS CEO Susan Miller said in a statement.
