The contract was implemented as part of the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 procurement. The deal has a value ceiling of $50 million and runs through March 2015, including base and option years.
CapRock will supply the FBI with its CommandAccess first military-grade commercial satellite subscription service at a flat fee. CapRock also will deliver 24/7 network operations support and monitoring assistance for the FBI’s remote locations.
The network, which serves as the backup for the FBI’s existing terrestrial connections, supplies critical communications services to law enforcement personnel and field offices nationwide under the FBI’s Satellite Diversity Program.
