[Satellite TODAY 04-07-10] Comtech Telecommunications Corp. received $12.1 million in tri-band, Ka-band amplifier and satellite earth station modem equipment orders from an unnamed government prime contractor, the company announced April 6.
Comtech EF Data will supply its DMD2050 universal satellite modem and Comtech Xicom Technology will provide C-, X-, Ku- and tri-band amplifiers and Ka-band antenna mount amplifiers to the government customer. Comtech’s initial deliveries to this government customer started in 2005 and 2006.
The orders are for follow-on procurements for transportable USAF satellite terminals and will be utilized to expand an existing military network.
