[Satellite TODAY 03-18-10] Integral Systems has selected XS-104 series products from XipLink to include in its mobile satellite military fly-away kits, which have all been deployed by the U.S. Department of Defense, XipLink announced March 17.
    The XS-104 is a member of XipLink’s XS specialty device family of ruggedized products targeted for unique optimization applications. Integral Systems said it chose XipLink after the XS-104 performed well through an evaluation process and subsequent detailed testing of SCPS standard acceleration.
    “Our goal is to produce the most powerful and reliable data communications solutions available. With the selection of the XS-104, we are able to maintain a compact system profile while delivering the highest level of performance for remote VSATs operating in harsh conditions,” Steve Gizinski, vice president of Integral Systems satcom solutions, said in a statement.
