[Satellite TODAY 01-21-10] OmniGlobe subsidiary RAMTelecom won a three-year contract from the Canadian government for the provision, maintenance and operation of Iridium satellite services and terminal equipment, the company announced Jan. 19.
   The contract, awarded by Canadian Public Works and Government Services, is valued at $2 million with three additional one-year extension options.
   “Whether it be through satellite phones or our cellular services from Lynx Mobility, connecting people in remote locations provides a valuable lifeline and peace of mind in emergency situations,” OmniGlobe CEO Jason Neale said in a statement.
