[Satellite TODAY 10-27-09] Orbit Technologies signed a $3 million deal with two Israeli defense companies to supply a range of tracking solutions over the coming year, the company announced Oct. 26.
Orbit will supply the Israeli defense companies with small tactical systems based on its AL-4012 for tracking UAVs, large systems based on its AL-4018 intended for tracking test flights, and electro-mechanical rotational systems for radar.
The AL-4012 and AL-4018 digital tracking systems aim to provide users with a single accurate command and control communication link in rugged environments. The systems are designed for both fixed and portable ground installations.
The names of the Israeli defense companies were not disclosed.
