[Satellite TODAY 10-07-09] Rockwell Collins signed a deal with the Dutch Ministry of Defense to provide Swe-Dish satcom terminals, the company announced Oct. 5.
    Rockwell Collins will deliver 23 CCT120 satcom terminals to the ministry as part of a contract awarded to 2connect-IT, a Netherland-based distributor for Swe-Dish terminals.
    The Suitcase CCT120 satellite terminals feature a 1.2-meter antenna and CommuniCase Technology based on a common modular architecture that enables users to easily switch out and plug in standard modems, amplifiers and other transmission and auxiliary components.
    “Today’s defense operations need portable communication solutions that provide fast, secure access to information. That’s exactly what the Suitcase CCT120 terminals offer to the Dutch Defence Ministry,” Alan Caslavka, vice president and general manager for Rockwell Collins, said in a statement.
