[Satellite TODAY 10-05-09] Comtech EF Data Corp. received a $1.1 million equipment order from the U.S. government to support the government’s satellite-based communications infrastructure, the company announced Oct. 1.
The order includes Comtech EF Data’s MIL-STD-188-165A-compliant SLM-5650A satellite modems and redundancy switches.
The SLM-5650A features performance and bandwidth savings technologies, including forward error correction and modulation capabilities, DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier bandwidth compression, and integration with Comtech’s automated network and capacity management, Vipersat Management System.
