[Satellite TODAY 09-24-09] Ukraine’s Cyclone-4 rocket, an upgrade to the Cyclone-3 vehicle, has been scheduled to launch from Brazil’s Alcantara space center in 2010, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko announced Sept. 22 to press officials.
    Yushchenko said the Cyclone project is a part of Ukraine’s plans to launch a space exploration program and export Ukrainian rockets to Latin American markets.
    Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has agreed to help Ukraine National Space Agency secure a $260 million loan from Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development. Ukraine will contribute $9.4 million for the project.
