[Satellite Today 03-11-09] Twenty First Century Systems (21CSI) has entered into an agreement with Infoterra to become the U.S. distributor of its satellite based synthetic aperture radar TerraSAR-X services, 21CSI announced March 3.
Under the agreement, 21CSI will market, distribute, service and support data and data processing capabilities from Infoterra in the United States — a market that 21CSI estimates to be worth $100 million annually. The agreement also allows the companies to create a comprehensive offering to a broad marketplace that includes defense, homeland security and commercial applications.
21CSI currently provides information technology products to U.S. customers, including U.S. Department of Defense and other agencies pertaining to U.S. homeland security and civil dDefense. The company said it intends to leverage its current client base in the effort to expand demand for TerraSAR-X Services in the United States.
