[Satellite Today 02-18-09] Impeva Labs Inc., a global asset management firm, and Agility, a logistics provider, deployed a new satellite service to track and monitor more than 365 U.S. military trucks operating on 2,000-plus miles of remote roads across challenging terrain between depots in Dubai, Jordan and Iraq, the companies announced Feb. 17.
    The system provides tracking, monitoring and managing of shipments of critical goods and supplies to support troops in Iraq.
    Agility said that the deployment is the beginning of a multi-phased deployment to support Agility’s operations in the region. Agility, which provides logistics and freight management systems and transport vehicles, used Impeva’s global asset visibility system as part of a contract signed with the U.S. Army Logistics Innovation Agency in December.
