[Satellite Today 11-24-08] Integral Systems Europe signed a yearly renewable contract to support the Polar Mission Control System (MCS) over the next 15 years with the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (Eumetsat), the company announced Nov. 24.
     Integral Systems Europe delivered the MCS as a subcontractor to Thales Alenia Space. The MCS includes four systems at two different sites and has been in operation since October 2005.
    “Following the successful launch and commissioning of the Metop-A satellite and based on this positive experience, we are pleased that ISE will provide long-term direct support to the Metop MCS,” said Yves Buhler, head of the maintenance and engineering division in Eumetsat’s Operations Department, said in a statement.
