[Satellite News 08-20-08] Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama released the details of his proposed space plan, Aug. 19.
The plan includes closing the gap between the retirement of the space shuttle and the commencement of NASA’s Constellation program, completing and enhancing the international space station, reviving the manned space flight program, increased support for robotics missions and securing funds for advancing space and aeronautic technology.
Obama also plans on using more cooperation and collaboration with international allies in strengthening the U.S. space program.
